Open Cup of Ukrainian Melges24 Class Association - LEXUS CUP was held in Sevastopol from 25 to 27 October 2013. Co-organizer and sponsor of the regatta was an official dealer of the world -famous premium brand LEXUS in Donetsk city.
Open Cup of Ukrainian Melges24 Class Association - LEXUS CUP was held in Sevastopol from 25 to 27 October 2013. Co-organizer and sponsor of the regatta was an official dealer of the world -famous premium brand LEXUS in Donetsk city. The crew of the well- known Ukrainian yachtsman Vasiliy Gureev wins the victory the second year in a row that was able to overcome in a tense struggle the crew of the brightest Ukrainian sailing star - Olympic champion and World champion Evgenii Braslavets.
This year just five Melges24 yachts were participated in regatta. Crews from Kiev, Kharkov, Sevastopol, Dnepropetrovsk, built-up crew Sevastopol - Alchevsk -Kiev and one team represented Russia gathered in Sevastopol. During the three days of competition eight races were passed by Melges 24 yachts. As a result crews of Gureev and Braslavets scored the same number of points.
LEXUS CUP venue has traditionally been in Sevastopol Yacht Club "Ushakova Balka ." In recent years it has become a mecca of yachting in Ukraine. It is here passes the most of the competitions among the big yachts. Extremely convenient location excellent facilities for participants - thanks to this the "Ushakova Balka " regattas began to attract the attention of not only Ukrainian but also foreign yachtsmen.
